Purpose:

  • Standalone summary for decision-makers
  • Key messages in 1-2 pages
  • Should answer: "Why should we choose you?"

Structure:

Paragraph 1: Understanding Demonstrate you understand their project, challenges, and objectives.

Tips:

  • Write this LAST (after full proposal)
  • Make it standalone readable
  • Focus on them, not you
  • Keep under 2 pages

  • Restate their goals
  • Acknowledge challenges

Our Approach:

  • How you'll achieve their goals
  • Methodology
  • Problem-solving approach
  • Quality assurance
  • Communication plan

Example:

❌ Weak: "We will build the project according to plans and specifications."

βœ“ Strong: "Understanding your need to maintain retail operations during construction, our phased approach minimizes disruption by completing the north wing before beginning south wing demolition, allowing continuous customer access throughout the project."

Team & Experience

Team Section:

Key Personnel:

  • Exclusions
  • Clarifications

Value Statement: Don't just list numbersβ€”connect price to value.

❌ Weak: "Total fee: $5,500,000"

βœ“ Strong: "Our total investment of $5,500,000 includes [specific value items] and is backed by our guarantee of [specific commitment]. This represents [competitive position statement]."

Differentiators
